Masquerade Ball at Coombe Abbey, Celebrating 30 years
A Highlight of the year
The VOX awards are with out a doubt one of the most established and longest running celebrations of Voice Actors and I’m thrilled again this year to say I was nominated for 2 awards: Best Female Voiceover performance of the year & Best Human Perormance in E-Learning/Medical along side some of the industry’s biggest names and most heard voices.
Hanging with the cool kids
Attending such industry gatherings are always a thrill for me as this is a rare chance to meet some of those I admire so much. Oh and getting new shoes and having a dance.
Yes, it’s a little geeky to admit but, chatting, laughing and learning from those I hope to follow in the footsteps of is golden. A moment to take in, focus, appreciate and enjoy.
My Tribe, my friends
As a group of encouraging people, there can be no better. From the entire VOX team to those attending. This really is a creative safe space to chat over ideas, fuel excitement and ignite new connections and friends.
Having had the opportunity to read for a panel during the days conference and listen to others take to the mic too, was a particularly invaluable chance to listen and learn. Interesting exhibitors and speakers all set in the beautiful Coombe Abbey made for another busy day talking about our industry and the latest buisness trends.
I, like everyone attending VOX are grateful for the event and all of the advice, guidance and support it brings to us all and as the kid who’s hanging with the cool people I'm hoping some of it will rub off.
So another sucessful VOX is over and it’s congratulations to the winners and all my fellow nominees. Being in the top 4% of the industry here in the UK is nothing to take for granted and you all ROCK!
Keep working hard and follow your dreams as you never know whats awaiting around the corner. Here’s to 2025 - may it be a good one for all.
